Shipping to European Countries
Shipping to European Countries
Why is direct shipping to countries within Europe no longer possible?
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) came into effect on August 12, 2026.
This regulation introduces significantly stricter legal requirements and reporting obligations for packaging used for shipping to other European countries.
The annual costs associated with these obligations would have to be covered out of our already narrow profit margins in online retail—a charge that is entirely disproportionate to the revenue generated.
For this reason, we have decided to discontinue direct shipping to other European countries, effective August 12, 2026.
Alternative shipping option
To ensure that our long-standing European customers can continue to shop in our store, we would like to point out the option of indirect shipping via parcel forwarding services.
When using a parcel forwarding service, we deliver your order to the service provider’s address in Germany, subject to our standard German shipping rates. The service provider you have engaged then handles the onward shipment to your home address, charging their own applicable fees. Based on our research and initial feedback from customers, the total shipping cost remains roughly the same—or only slightly higher—than our previous international shipping rates.
What do you need to do?
To use this method for shipping to other European countries, you simply need to register with a service provider of your choice. By registering, you enter into a direct contract with that provider or parcel service for the forwarding or storage of your shipments.
When placing an order in our shop, you will then need to provide the delivery address assigned to you by the service provider—along with your personal identification number—as the shipping address.
Which providers are available?
A number of companies have emerged that specialize in this type of service. Listed below are several service providers that offer a forwarding service as described above.
